Barnes Family Stay-cation Day One

This week is Jake's Spring Break. We had plans to drive to Florida (crazy, I know - but warm weather, the beach and Jake's sister were serious motivational factors) but then Callie came down with all that junk and we decided it was best to stay put. We didn't just want to sit on our bums the whole week and I was determined to have fun no matter what. So, we (I) planned a stay-cation and Jake is kind enough to go along with it.

Today began with Bagel Poppers from Einstein Bros. Bagels and a homemade orange julius.Yum.

Then we headed off to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo where county residents get in free every Monday. It was a bit cold but worth it because we pretty much had the park to ourselves.

We all had naps afterwards, except Jake who watched The Doctors and drooled over Audi TTs and Infiniti Gs online. We're having breakfast for dinner - my favorite - then it's a couple rounds of Candyland and bedtime!
