Why we're here.

Since we've moved to Ohio, we've attended a third grade recorder concert (way more exciting than it sounds!) two different art shows, the Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis at the Cleveland Zoo, and have enjoyed swimming, Friday night pizza/movie night and lots and lots of time playing outside with cousins. Jenna is a totally different child when she is around her cousins. Her cheeks must be sore at the end of the day because she smiles and laughs so much with them. A few pictures of the fun we've had:

The move out here couldn't have gone smoother. Jake and his brother set a new record and made it to Ohio in about two and half days. That's in a moving van. Towing a car. If it hadn't been for Nebraska, which I understand is the worst state to drive through, they would have been here in a day and half! And everything survived the drive, including my dishes. It was fun to unpack and rediscover things that have been packed away while we lived at Jake's parents house. Our house is awesome. It's old and creaky and I've only got about an arm's length of countertop space but it's updated and clean and has great features. My favorite is the screened-in porch out back. Jenna will love playing out there when it's warm but raining. That's something that has taken some getting used to. When it rains in California, it's usually a little cooler. But tomorrow, for example, the forecast calls for 80 degrees and thunderstorms. No sweaters required. There's so much more to write about but the Cavs are playing and we're up by 8. Yeah, we're officially Ohioans.
